Nick Carter

Nick Carter is a Broker Associate and member of The Nick Carter Team, a top producing team at Jack Lingo Realtor in Lewes. In 2002, Nick was the Top Sales Agent in the Jack Lingo Realtor Lewes office and from then on he and his team have won awards every year as either Top Sales Team or Top Producers through to the present.

Nick was born and raised in Lewes Beach, Delaware - he is a descendant of 4 generations from Lewes Beach. Nick graduated from Lewes High School in 1965, Columbian Preparatory School in Washington, DC in 1996, and the United States Naval Academy in 1970. While at the Naval Academy, he was awarded a Varsity as a member of the Navy Sailing Team. He was commissioned as an Ensign in the US Navy and moved to San Diego, California. He served aboard USS ORLECK (DD-886) a combatant naval destroyer and deployed to Vietnam for 2 tours of duty in 1971 and 1972. After leaving the Navy in 1975, Nick attended San Diego State University where he completed the MBA course work in Finance and worked as a Stock Broker from 1980 - 1990. Nick entered the Southern California Real Estate market as a Broker in 1990 until his return to Lewes in 1997.

Nick is a founding member of the Lewes Yacht Club Foundation. His other leadership positions include the Founder and Past-President of the DE Chapter of the Naval Academy Alumni Association and the Founder and Past-Chairman of the DE Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection of our beaches, bays and oceans.

Laurie Carter

Laurie Draper Carter was born and raised in Milford, Delaware.  She graduated from Milford High School and Hood College, earning a BA in Elementary Education. After working first in Olney, Maryland, Laurie returned to Milford to teach elementary, middle school science, and coach High School Tennis for the Milford School District.  During those years, she also earned her MS in Human Resources Administration. 

Because of her environmental education work in the classroom, In 1992, she was hired as the “Chief of Environmental Education and Interpretation” for the Department of Natural Resources. She administered all statewide environmental education programs for Delaware State Parks until 2002 when she and Nick started their family.

After leaving State Service, Laurie started a local residential and commercial swimming pool company to service and maintained swimming pools in the immediate resort towns.  Today, Carter Aquatics has become a premier swimming pool building company.

A lifelong tennis player, Laurie is the local Girls Varsity Tennis Coach at Cape Henlopen High School.  She was recently named “Coach of the Year” by the Henlopen Conference in 2017. 

As a native, Laurie knows Coastal Sussex County very well and is happy to expose and “teach” her clients to the natural, cultural, and historic beauty of Delaware, and the many advantages of buying and selling real estate.
